METHOD OF AUTOMATIC OVERVOLTAGE PROTECTION FOR HIGH-VOLTAGE EQUIPMENT Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC H02H9/04

Abstract RU 2556037 C1

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: consumed resource of equipment insulation is defined by accumulating its consumption with the intensity corresponding to the respective overvoltage and compared to a threshold value, when the latter is exceeded a signal is generated on a depleted insulation resource. When overvoltage disappears recovery of the insulation resource is considered by decreasing the consumed resource with the preset recovery intensity. At that the range of potential overvoltage is divided into degrees for recovery and at each degree the consumed resource is evaluated individually and the total consumed resource for the equipment is defined as a sum of consumed resources for the above degrees. When overvoltage disappears recovery of the insulation resource is considered for each recovery degree by the simultaneous decreasing of the consumed resources at the degrees with the recovery intensity corresponding to each degree.

EFFECT: improving accuracy when evaluating the insulation resource of high-voltage equipment at overvoltage.
