SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering to automatically limit the increase in voltage of high-voltage equipment of an electrical network node. According to the method, the decision on the introduction of technical measures is made on the basis of an individual analysis of the residual insulation resource of only the high-voltage equipment of the electrical network node included in the operation. To do this, the position of the switching devices of the node is controlled with the help of connection controllers and in real time all protected high-voltage equipment of the electrical network node is included in the operation. Technical measures are put into action if they detect a decrease in the residual insulation life of any equipment turned on to an individual threshold value. Moreover, during the operation of technical measures, they continue to monitor the residual resource of the equipment and turn off the equipment that has exhausted its resource. Instead, if necessary, include similar equipment with a residual resource sufficient for its operation in the current mode.

EFFECT: increasing the reliability of power supply to an electrical network node.
