FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing an activated Fischer-Tropsch synthesis catalyst, capable of exhibiting high activity at the initial phase of the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reaction. The method includes a step for hydrogen reduction of the catalyst, which contains as a metal atom a cobalt compound and/or a ruthenium compound in amount of 3-50 pts.wt per 100 pts.wt of the support, which contains a porous inorganic oxide, where the metal is deposited on the support by reduction in a gas containing molecular hydrogen at 300-600°C and a CO reduction step, which includes reducing the catalyst in a gas containing carbon monoxide and no molecular hydrogen at 280-350°C. The invention also relates to a method of producing hydrocarbons using the obtained catalyst.
EFFECT: method enables to obtain a catalyst which exhibits high activity at the initial phase of the Fischer-Tropsch reaction and enables to achieve high intensity of CO conversion, thereby efficiently obtain a high output of hydrocarbons in the Fischer-Tropsch reaction.
