SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. In compliance with first version, this absorbing element with polyhedral cross-section has five vertices and side extending between the latter. This polyhedral cross-section is divided by two vertices (A, B) with minor internal angles to two perimeter segments. Said perimeter comprises one or more sides. One of perimeter two segments comprises four sides and appropriate internal angles of three vertices (V(i) (i=1, 2, 3, …)) included in said segment. Four sides of perimeter segment equal or are smaller than 180 degrees. Distance between each of three vertices (V(i) (i=1, 2, 3, …)) and straight line (L) connecting two vertices (A, B) are smaller than 1/2 of spacing between two vertices (A, B). Internal angle of vertex (C) with minimum internal angle among three vertices is larger than internal angles of two vertices (A, B) while verticals (VI) are located in perimeter segment. Perimeter segment comprises four sides between vertex (C) with minimum internal angle (V(i)) one vertex A and between vertex (C) with minimum internal angle and vertex (B). Said vertices (Vi) feature internal angles larger than inner angle of vertex (C) with minimum internal angle. In compliance with second version, shock absorbing prismatic element comprises two combined sections (J), polyhedral cross-section is separated by two vertices (A, B) nearby said sections (J) into two segments.
EFFECT: more efficient shock energy absorption by said element of carrier frame.
