SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, in particular to field of oral cavity hygiene, and is intended for teeth cleaning. Toothbrush with power drive contains handle, electric grounding connection, connected with handle, brush head, which includes set of bristles, brush head drive unit and conductive electrode, placed in brush head or on brush head. Conductive electrode and electric grounding connection are operatively measured and placed in tooth-brush for capacitive electric charge preservation. Toothbrush also contains system for measuring capacity between conductive electrode and toothbrush grounding connection in handle and controller. Controller is intended for determination of measurement of specified threshold value by capacity, which indicates to the fact that toothbrush is near user's oral cavity or inside user's oral cavity, and further for activation of drive unit in order to bringing toothbrush in work.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to ensure possibility of toothbrush application in case of its approach to processed part of user's body.
