SUBSTANCE: disclosed oral cavity apparatus (100) includes body portion (102) having first and second ends (120, 122) and grip portion (118); oral tool (108) coupled to first end (120) of body portion (102); touch-sensitive (TS) sensor (104) which is located on body portion (102) and outputs a sensor value indicative of a force applied thereto by a user. In addition, controller (107) is configured to compare the sensor value with at least one threshold value, and to actuate oral tool (108) based upon the results of the comparison.
EFFECT: present system relates to a toothbrush system and, more particularly, to an electronic toothbrush system having a touch-sensitive body for selection of one or more functions, and a method of operation thereof.
