FIELD: personal use articles.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a kitchen gas stove. The kitchen gas appliance comprises: a zone (10) of cooking; a nozzle (12) of the burner to supply heat to the zone (10) of cooking; a solenoid valve (16, 16'), which, when energized, is made with the ability to provide feeding gas to the nozzle (12) of the burner, and when deenergisation is made with the ability of blocking the gas supply to the nozzle (12) of the burner; a thermocouple (32, 32') located adjacent to the nozzle (12) of the burner, at that the thermocouple (32, 32') as a result of heating is made with the ability to energize the solenoid valve (16, 16'); a cover (36) connected to the said zone (10) of cooking, and made with the ability to move between the first position which ensures the normal operation of the zone (10) of cooking, and at least one second position in which the zone (10) of cooking is inactive or inoperable; a switching element (34, 34') connected to the cover (36) and adapted to interrupt the supply of electric energy from the thermocouple (32, 32') to the solenoid valve (16, 16'), when the cover (36) is in the second position, and a hinge mechanism (50, 56) for the cover (36). At that the switching element (76) is connected to the hinge mechanism (50, 56) so that the supply of electric energy from the thermocouple (32) to the solenoid valve (16) is interrupted when the cover (36) is in the open position. The hinge mechanism comprises an element (66) which during movement of the cover (36) is made with the ability to perform a substantially linear movement. The switching element (76) is connected to the hinge mechanism by a clamp (68) attached to the element (66), and comprising an inclined switching surface (72, 74) in contact with the push button (78) of the switching element (76).
