FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fluorine-conducting solid electrolyte R1-yMyF3-y with tysonite structure, containing fluorides of rare earth and alkali earth metals. Electrolyte is characterised by the fact that it has monocrystalline form and contains trifluoride RF3(R=La, Ce, Pr, Nd) and difluoride MF2(M=Ca, Sr, Ba), taken with the following ratio: RF3 95-97 mol % and MF2 3-5 mol %, which provides achievement of value of fluorine-ionic conductivity to σ~5×10-4 Ohm-1cm-1 at 20°C. Invention also relates to method of electrolyte obtaining.

EFFECT: claimed electrolyte does not possess porosity, does not have reduced conductivity, characteristic of fine crystalline powders, and has optimised composition.
