SOLID-STATE CHEMICAL CURRENT SUPPLY Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

Abstract RU 2187178 C2

FIELD: electrical engineering; primary and secondary current supplies. SUBSTANCE: novelty is that solid-state chemical current supply has lead base anode, silver fluoride base cathode, and electrolyte composed of fluorine-ion conducting compound based on rare-earth metal fluoride such as lanthanum trifluoride. Electrolyte may contain in addition alkali-earth metal fluoride such as barium difluoride and/or alkali metal fluoride such as potassium fluoride or lithium fluoride. Proposed current supply operates normally both as primary and secondary current supply with power capacity increased by four to eight times when running as secondary current supply. Low self- discharge value of current supply keeps it alive for longer time. EFFECT: enhanced power capacity, reduced size of current supply. 6 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
