FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engines. This process comprises the steps that follow. First, multiple measurements of tank fuel level are performed during at least one flight of aircraft for preset engine working phases. Note here that every measurement is related with oil temperature and engine rpm. Selected are measurements that display oil level variation and are related with oil temperatures that approximate to reference temperature and with engine rpm approximating to reference rpm. Combined are (F40) measurements selected by phases of operation during at least one flight of aircraft and to compare (F60) combined measurements with reference data for identification (F70) of engine oil abnormal consumption.
EFFECT: higher validity of estimation.
