FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of separating hollow microspheres in a liquid medium and can be used to improve homogeneity of diameters of microspheres for further industrial use thereof, for experiments to analyse laser tracks in thin films, envelopes for medicines, chemical column filler and laser thermonuclear synthesis. A method of separating microspheres according to diameters thereof when sorting said microspheres in a liquid medium, said liquid medium being a thin (0.01-100 mcm) aqueous soap film or a soap film with heavy liquids with a variable thickness, to which microsphere samples are added for floatation thereof to the thickness of the film (to the level) corresponding to the size thereof, followed by level-by-level removal thereof from the film.
EFFECT: high efficiency of sorting.
