FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: according to the invention, a fraction with average effective particle diameter D0 is separated from a starting powder with porosity P = 1-ρ0/ρtrue, where ρ0 is the bulk density of the particles of the starting micropowder, ρtrue is the true (theoretical) density of the material of the micropowder, said diameter being calculated using the mathematical relationship: where D1 is the calculated diameter of the obtained hollow ceramic microspheres, ρ1 is the calculated bulk density of the obtained hollow ceramic microspheres. Melting is then carried out in a stream of low-temperature plasma, followed by separation from the obtained hollow ceramic microspheres a fraction with average calculated diameter D1, the density of which is equal to the calculated value ρ1.
EFFECT: obtaining microspheres with a given external diameter, bulk density and shell thickness.
