FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: engine transmission unit (ETU) contains internal combustion engine, one generator or hydraulic pump connected with the internal combustion engine, one motor or hydraulic engine of propulsion drive, and side gearboxes connected with lead wheels or tracks of the machine. Using one ort several generators or hydraulic pumps the kinetic energy of one rotating part of the internal combustion engine, generator or hydraulic pump is converted in the electric or hydraulic energy. The internal combustion engine has rated safety factor of torque at least 25%, and/or to one rotating part of the internal combustion engine, generator or hydraulic pump the flywheel is connected, its moment of inertia increases with rise of its speed of rotation. Under some options of the invention implementation the generator, hydraulic pump or group of such generators or hydraulic pumps are connected with the internal combustion engine via the speeder and/or resilient coupling, the generator is installed in tight vacuum chamber and is connected with the internal combustion engine via the speeder and magnetic coupling, ETU comprises controllers implementing various ETU control algorithms.
EFFECT: improved weight and size characteristics of ETU and possibility of its use in machines with hydrostatic and electro-mechanical power trains.
