DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUE FOR DEGREE OF SEVERITY OF UNDIFFERENTIATED CONNECTIVE TISSUE DYSPLASIA IN FEMALES OF REPRODUCTIVE AGE Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A61B5/00

Abstract RU 2558987 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention aims at diagnosing a degree of severity of undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia (uCTD). Assessing external phenotypic characters of connective tissue dysplasia, taking the past obstetric-gynaecological history and considering the obstetric-gynaecological parameters are performed in the females of the reproductive age. The characters are assessed according to the point scale. Herewith, 2 points are assigned if observing a positive screening thumb test, joint hypermobility, scoliosis, thoracic kyphosis, moderate or high myopia, flatfoot, multiple depigmentations, various veins of the lower limb or the small pelvis, hernias in the past medical history, chest distortions, bone fractures in the past medical history, leaking uterine scar, genital defects: bicornuate, arcuate uterus; intrauterine adhesions, fused vulva; cervical incompetence, abnormal pelvic bones: contracted, flat pelvis, pelvic deformities; gestational complications: moderate or severe early toxicosis, threatened miscarriage; premature delivery; multiple postpartum stretch marks, postpartum symphysitis, peripartum rupture of uterus. Otherwise, 1 point is assigned if observing a positive screening thumb test, mild myopia, vertebral osteochondrosis, skin hyperextensibility, single depigmentations, hypertrichosis, haemangiomas and angioectasias, habitual bone dislocations and incomplete dislocations in the past medical history, asthenisation with Warge index of less than 1.5; algodismenorrhea, late menarche, premenstrual syndrome, peripartum rupture of the uterus, peripartum rupture of the perineum; the total score is derived. If the patient has 3 to 6 points, a mild severity of uCTD is stated. The total score of 7-11 points shows a moderate severity of uCTD. The total score exceeding 11 points enables stating severe uCTD.

EFFECT: method enables determining the severity of uCTD by assessing the phenotypic characters of connective tissue dysplasia, the obstetric-gynaecological parameters and taking the past obstetric-gynaecological history.
