FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: assessment method of damage to a thermal barrier applied onto a part made on a metal substrate, with that, the above thermal barrier includes an aluminium interlayer and a layer from ceramic material with a column-type structure, with that, the above interlayer is located between the above substrate and the above ceramic layer. The method involves the first standardisation stage involving selection of a certain number of standard parts that underwent damages of a different degree, their exposure during the specified period of time to radiation, measurement of temperature obtained on the surface, after the specified time is lapsed, and build-up of a standard curve connecting increase of the measured temperature to the damage, and the second measurement stage of damage to the thermal barrier on the above part, which involves exposure to the specified radiation during the specified period of time, measurement of the obtained temperature and addition to the standard curve of temperature rise and detection of damage based on the above curve.
EFFECT: improving efficiency of this method.
