FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to making of thermal barrier including at least a sublayer and a ceramic layer to cover metallic substrate of refractory alloy. In compliance with this process, sublayer surface state is smoothed by at least one physical-chemical and/or mechanical process before deposition of ceramic layer so that the number of defects, e.g. recesses and ledges spaced from recess bottom and ledge top larger than or equal to 2 mcm is five, at maximum, at whatever distance of 50 mcm, and, then, ceramic layer is deposited.
EFFECT: longer life of parts made as describe above.
