FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: from the occipital side from an optic disc pit by an annular maculophexis and exfoliation of an internal limiting membrane (ILM), a ILM flap is formed and separated in the PFOC medium at 0.5-0.8 mm from an optic disc ring. The separated ILM flap is turned around and used to cover the optic disc pit. The flap over the optic disc pit is exposed to a mild compression. PFOC is replaced by air. A vitreous cutter tip is placed from the nasal side from the optic disc.
EFFECT: method enables reducing an injury rate of the surgical intervention, blocking the fluid flow from the optic disc pit into a macular area, sealing the optic disc pit, relieving the macular detachment, preserving or improving the visual functions.
