FIELD: ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used for peeling of the inner bordering membrane (IBM) of the retina. The IBM is removed by circular maculorexis with the formation of flaps. Before the flaps are formed, a drop of a perfluoroorganic compound (PFOC) with a diameter equal to the diameter of the optic nerve head is applied to the fovea zone. In the process of flap formation, PFOC is additionally introduced or removed in a volume sufficient to completely cover the fovea zone. After the completion of the formation of the flaps, they are shortened along the edges of the PFOC drop. Thereafter, the PFOC is removed.
EFFECT: invention allows increasing accuracy of the performed IBM peeling, reducing traumatism while preserving visual functions.
