FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: in a laser interferential mercury pressure gauge comprising a U-shaped tube with float devices installed in its elbows, equipped with collecting lenses, a system of gas pumping and injection, a registration system comprising an interferometer, a laser source of radiation, an electronic optical unit of registration, and a control computer, float devices are made in the form of cups equipped with a through hole in a bottom with installed stabilisers of diameter larger by at least three millimetres. The stabiliser, the external diameter of which is by 0.1 mm less than the internal diameter of the inner diameter of the tube, rigidly fixed to the cup and made of caprolon; under the protruding lower part of the stabiliser under the cup there is additionally a ring from caprolon.
EFFECT: increased stability of surface tension of mercury and depth of float submersion, increased validity and accuracy of measurements.
