FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the area of electric engineering and may be used for torsional oscillation damping in a rotary system. A system of the controller for torsional oscillation damping is connected to a converter, which supplies an electrical machine coupled with a drive circuit and comprises an input interface configured to receive measured data related to variables of the converter or electrical machine and a controller related to the input interface. The controller computes at least one dynamic component of the driving torque along the shaft section on the basis of data received from the input interface, generates control data for the converter to damp torsional oscillation in a mechanical circuit of the drive on the basis of at least one above dynamic component of the driving torque and sends the control data to the converter to modulate active power exchanged between the converter and electrical machine.
EFFECT: implemented damping of oscillation without the use of driving torque sensors.
