FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of obtaining composite materials based on carbon and silicon carbide. Frame is formed from heat-resistant fibres, such as carbon and silicon carbide fibres. Frame is soaked with ceramic-matrix polymer and thermal processing is carried out at temperature 1300-1500°C. Before siliconising, carbon is formed in pores of half-finished material by soaking with coke-forming polymer with its following carbonisation or by carbonisation of pores with catalytic carbon. Siliconising is realised by steam-liquid-phase method by capillary condensation of silicon vapours in interval 1300-1550°C with the following heating and exposure at temperature 1600-1650°C for 2-3 hours.
EFFECT: increase of work ability of products under conditions of heating to 1900°C and mechanical load in oxidative medium.
