FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of production of composite materials on the basis of carbon and silicon carbide and products from them, of heat protection, structural purposes, designed for operation under conditions of complex static and dynamic loads at temperatures of up to 2000°C in oxidant and abrasive-containing media (aerospace engineering and metallurgy). The method to manufacture products from ceramic matrix composite material includes formation of a frame of heat resistant fibres, such as carbon and silicon carbide, its partial compaction with carbon matrix material, impregnation with ceramic-forming polymer, heat treatment of stock at final temperature of 1300-1600°C, generation of silicon-active carbon of porous structure in stock material pores, by impregnation with carbon forming polymer with its subsequent carbonisation or by means of pore carbonisation with catalytic carbon, silicification of the produced stock by steam-liquid phase method by heating, maintenance at silicon carbidisation temperature (1600-1800°C) and cooling in silicon vapours. Prior to formation of carbon formation in stock material pores they carry out repeated impregnation of the stock with ceramic forming polymer, being a precursor of silicon nitride and/or silicon carbide, with its subsequent hardening and heat treatment at 1300-1600°C. Prior to stock cooling they perform maintenance at 1600-1700°C for 1-3 hours.

EFFECT: increased operability of products from ceramic matrix composite material under thermal and mechanical loading in oxidising medium.
