FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: frame out of refractory fibres is made and is partially compacted by carbon and/or ceramic matrix material. In the billet material pores prior to its silicification the particles of fine carbon are formed with simultaneous encapsulation and partial their binding with each other by crystallization of the fine particles of disaccharide or monosaccharide, for example, saccharose or fructose, from the supersaturated at room temperature water solution. Then drying at room temperature is performed until water removal from the billet material pores, billet is impregnated by solution of coke- or ceramic forming polymer with relative viscosity 20-40 s with further heat treatment at 850-1300°C. The billet silicification is performed by vapour-liquid method by heating, holding and cooling in silicon vapours.
EFFECT: increased operation reliability of the item under conditions of high temperature thermal and mechanical loading in oxidizing environment.
