FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: rubber composition contains at least one diene elastomer, reinforcing filler, a cross-linking system and at least 10-150 pts.wt lamellar filler (per 100 parts elastomer) and 0.01-0.3 pts.wt metal salt. The composition also contains an additional elastomer with a high Tag, the glass transition point (Tg) of which is higher than -35° and which is selected from a group consisting of SBR, and epoxidated natural rubber, and mixtures of said elastomers. The invention also describes a pneumatic radial car tyre. The tyre consists of crown over the tyre tread, two inextensible shoulders, sidewalls and carcass ply. In said tyre, at least the protective elastomer layer consists of said composition and is placed at least in the area of the pneumatic tyre located between the tyre tread and the rim or between the rim and the carcass ply or on the carcass ply.
EFFECT: invention relates to a rubber composition for making a protective elastomer layer with high air permeability, which can be used to make articles from rubber, for example pneumatic tyres.
