FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns non-ferrous metallurgy, particularly it concerns desiliconisation of sodium aluminate solutions of Byier process. Method includes desiliconisation of sodium aluminate solutions received at pressure leaching of bauxite, reverse aluminate solutions at presence of calcium-bearing reagent. In the capacity of calcium-bearing reagent it is used burnt surface-carbonised lime with level of content of active component in the form of CaO+MgO in limits 85-92% and increased part of carbonate component in the form of calcite CaCO3 in the range 5-8 %. Lime is taken in amount 5-8 % of bauxite mass.
EFFECT: process simplification along with high refinement of solutions against silicon.
