FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in cooling and oversaturation of cleaned flow by steam at forcing it through humidifier and different-temperature condensation chamber with gas stage, primarily, of rectangular cross-section. It comprises upper and lower bottoms and sidewalls. Note here that opposite adjacent walls feature different temperature. Solid and condensed phases are separated from flow. Note here that temperature difference between inlet hot part and outlet cold parts of every wall makes 20-35°C while that between adjacent walls makes 35-55°C. Note also that temperature varies by linear law while time of particles stay in condensation chamber different-temperature stage makes 0.3-6 s. Downstream of condensation chamber different-temperature stage airflow is forced through moisture separator. Proposed method consists in the air-steam flow in the chamber is additionally turbulised and mixed by extra rib fitted at the chamber centre to divide the chamber inside into two parts. Note here that said rib can communicate the parts of said chamber. Note also that said rib is fitted along chamber lengthwise axis, mainly, parallel therewith and with shift to stage hot sidewall for x = (0.1…0.3)X, where x is rib shift to hot sidewall, X is channel width.
EFFECT: more complete removal of condensate and mechanical impurities.
