FIELD: technological processes, filters.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to dust catching processes and may be used in any industry, where it is required to catch highly dispersed aerosols from air flow, in particular, in food industry. Method for air purification consists in cooling and supersaturation of cleaned flow by water vapours as it is passed through moisturiser and different-temperature condensation chamber with gas line of rectangular section, with further separation of solid and condensed phases from flow in moisture separator. Flow in condensation chamber is additionally expanded and cooled with reduction of its speed due to the fact that gas line is arranged in the form of diffuser, smaller throughput section of which is located in inlet part, and larger one - in outlet one. Difference of temperatures between inlet hot and outlet cold parts of each wall of gas line is provided within the limits of 20 - 35°C. Difference of temperatures between neighbouring opposite walls of line is maintained within the range of 35 - 55°C. Time of particles location in line of different-temperature condensation chamber is selected within the limits of 0.3 - 0.6 s.
EFFECT: provision of complete efficient separation of condensate and mechanical admixtures from flow of contaminated gas.
