FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: adjustment method includes preliminary assembling of a lens on geometric bases; forming an autocollimation image by setting the focal point of the interferometer lens on the axis of the main mirror in the lens focus and analysing the wave front of the lens in an autocollimation scheme with a flat mirror in two positions symmetrically about the centre of the points of the viewing field; changing the position of the secondary mirror to achieve symmetry of coma and astigmatism at said points via angular and linear transverse displacements thereof by a value which is inverse to the calculated slope and the displacement of the secondary aspherical mirror on two coordinates relative to the axis of the main mirror; the calculation is performed based on values of sine and cosine components of Zernike aberration coefficients - astigmatism and coma, caused by decentring; analysing the wave front of the lens at the centre of the viewing field; determining the aberration coefficient of third-order spherical aberration, and calculating axial displacement of the secondary mirror relative to the nominal position based thereon. The axial displacement of the secondary mirror is carried out by a value which is inverse to axial displacement.
EFFECT: high accuracy of adjustment and simplification thereof.
