FIELD: physics, acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to acoustics, particularly to a piezoelectric transducer equipped with a membrane. The transducer comprises a generator, a cylindrical housing, inside of which there is a coaxially arranged circular bimorph with a convex membrane over it and a common flat annular holder, having at the base of the convex membrane an impressed annular V-shaped diffuser with an opening angle of 15 to 60 degrees in the radial section. The bottom of the diffuser is rigidly connected to the bimorph and the common flat annular holder is rigidly mounted on the outer surface of the cylindrical housing. The housing is made of elastic material having wave impedance greater than that of the material of the common flat annular holder.
EFFECT: high level of acoustic pressure.
