SUBSTANCE: compensating coupling is used at low temperature, for example, in space. Said coupling is provided with trigeneration assembly. At temperatures above fusion point of fusible metal (8) and in necessity of torque transfer from driving to driven mechanism absorption refrigerator (10) is actuated to cool down said fusible metal (8) to make is solid, to lock thrust sleeves (3) of flange half-couplings (2) relative to each other. To terminate torque transfer, absorption machine (10) is cut off. At low temperatures for disengagement of driven mechanism from driving mechanism electrical heater (11) is switched on to make fusible metal (8) a liquid material to rule out rigid locking of flange half-couplings (2) relative to each other. With heater (11) in OFF state thrust sleeves (3) are locked relative to each other to allow transfer of torque.
EFFECT: enhanced performances.
