FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to couplings for transmission of rotary motion. Elastic coupling connecting two toothed shafts and containing an intermediate bushing and an elastic element is equipped with a thrust bearing. Intermediate bushing is made with a pair of oppositely directed helical toothed cages fixed on the inner surface of the intermediate bushing and conjugated with helical gears fixed on the ends of the drive and driven shafts. One of the thrust bearing cages is arranged on the intermediate sleeve end face, and the resilient element is installed between the thrust bearing second cage and the annular disc fixed on the drive shaft.
EFFECT: increased value of axial compression of elastic element at relative rotation of driving and driven shafts.
