SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used for improvement of state of the gastro-intestinal tract (GIT) of the animals. The methods comprise administering to the animal of maintaining or improving the gastrointestinal state amount of food composition comprising from about 1 to about 20% carbohydrate, from about 3 to 10% total dietary fibre, at that the total dietary fibre comprises from about 10 to 40% soluble fibre and from about 90 to 60% insoluble fibre, and from about 0.1 to about 10% of omega-3 fatty acids. At that the composition has a digestibility coefficient of at least 80.
EFFECT: invention enables to improve the GIT state and stool quality of animals.
