FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary science, particularly to methods of treating puppies prone to or suffering constipations. The method involves correcting the metabolised cation and anion balance in a puppy's feed formulation by means of an amount sufficient to improve the stool quality by reducing the metabolised cation and anion balance in the feed for making the stool thinner. The feed formulation has the soluble fibres content from approximately 1% to approximately 4% and has the diet cation and anion balance (DCAB) from approximately 50 to approximately 300 mEkv.
EFFECT: using the invention is expected to normalise the stool in puppies.
