FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: in method for testing electric propulsion motor (EPM) in vacuum chamber consisting in braking of out-flowing operating fluid at protective target according to the invention energy of out-flowing operating fluid in the form of ionising radiation of high-temperature plasma is converted to electric energy, which is outputted outside vacuum chamber for the purpose of beneficial use. The method is performed by means of a bench comprising vacuum chamber, power supply and control systems, protective target; according to the invention at the protective target or instead of it there is photoelectric and/or thermoelectric converter producing electromotive force.
EFFECT: improved efficiency for protection of inner walls and equipment of the vacuum chamber from impact of ionising radiation of high-temperature plasma, reduced consumption of the target cooling agent used during testing, improved operational reliability of the bench for EPM testing.
