The first and the second longitudinal beams form fork-shaped opening (150, 550). On the longitudinal beams (104, 106, 504, 506) forming fork-shaped opening (150,550), at least one guiding roller (110, 114, 510, 514) turning around rotational axis is located. The transportation cart (100, 500) has at least one limiting assembly (158, 160, 558, 560) to limit rotational movement of at least one of guiding rollers (110, 114, 510, 514) around its axis of rotation. This limitation can be automatically removed again when base (306, 706) of operating table (300, 700) is lifted.
