FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: biological sample processing device comprises chassis. Tape is connected to chassis along which tape with matrix of holes can automatically move through device, dosing unit for dispensing biological sample and reagent into matrix of holes on tape to form mixture of biological sample and reagent, a sealing assembly for sealing a biological sample and a reagent in a tape and an amplification and detection unit for detecting a signal from a mixture of a biological sample and a reagent in the matrix of the wells in the tape. Amplification and detection system comprises a thermal module located on a tape path, configuration and arrangement of which enable it to adjust the temperature of the mixture of the biological sample and reagent in the matrix of the wells on the tape. Thermal module comprises multiple cavities capable of receiving wells from matrix of wells, wherein each cavity has such size to form tight contact between outer surface of the hole and inner surface of the cavity.
EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the functionality of the device.
