FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: device provides a possibility of operation in two modes. A signal from the source is supplied to an object, and a radiation receiver fixes the signal reflected from the object. The signal is transmitted from the radiation receiver by means of a switching device to a multichannel digital storage. Achievement of the set level by the accumulated signal is followed up. If the signal does not achieve the set level, then, operation of the device is performed as per a method of non-coherent multichannel accumulation. If it is indicated that the threshold is exceeded, then, operation of the device is performed in a monopulse mode.

EFFECT: providing measurements from the board of the airborne vehicle of its altitude and a vertical constituent of speed both during stationary flight and at take-off and landing in a wide range of altitudes and modes of climb and descent.
