FIELD: measurement.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement of flight altitude of aircrafts. Onboard laser range finder with determination of the cloud bottom lower height comprises a laser transmitter, a receiver of the radiation reflected by the object, a switch, a multichannel accumulator, a range meter, a mode switching unit, a control unit, a temporary fixation unit, an interpolation unit and a clock generator. First output of the clock generator is connected to the third input of the interpolation unit, and the second output is connected to the second input of the multichannel accumulator, the output of the latter is connected to the input of the range meter, output of which is connected to second input of mode switching unit, first input of which is connected to second output of interpolation unit, first input of latter is connected to third output of control unit, first and second outputs of which are connected to input of laser transmitter and second input of switch, respectively. First and second outputs of switch are connected to input of temporary fixation unit and first input of multichannel accumulator, respectively, output of the receiver of the reflected radiation object is connected to the first input of the switch, the third input of which is connected to the input of the control unit and the output of the mode selection unit. In the range finder there is an additional interpolation unit, a pulse number determiner, a first switch and a second switch, the output of the latter is connected to the second input of the additional interpolation unit, first and third inputs of which are connected to third output of control unit and first output of clock oscillator, respectively. First inputs of the first and second switches are connected to the output of the temporary fixing unit and to the input of the pulse number determiner, the first output of which is connected to the second input of the second switch, and the second output of the pulse quantity determiner is connected to the second input of the first switch, the output of which is connected to the second input of the interpolation unit.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of safety of aircraft piloting in cloud conditions at low altitudes.
