SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is related to underwater units and methods for the separation of a mixture produced from an underwater well. An underwater unit comprises a chamber designed to receive the mixture produced from the underwater well and to separate it under the gravity effect and including a housing intended to store the mixture produced from the underwater well during the separation process and a piston placed in the above housing and separating it into top and below sections, at that the above piston is made so that it can move into the first direction along the axis thus creating a larger space in the top section to receive the mixture from the underwater well and it can move in the second opposite direction along the axis thus removing the mixture from the top section upon separation.
