FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engine fuel feed systems. ICE fuel injection system comprises high-pressure fuel pump (5) to force fuel in the ICE. Note here that said high-pressure fuel pump (5) incorporates inlet (6), at least one plunger (9) and suction channel (8) arranged between inlet (6) and said plunger (9). Discharge valve (12) is connected with suction channel (8) of pump (5) while intake proportioning valve (7) is connected to discharge valve (6) of pump (5). In compliance with one aspect of this invention, at least a part of suction channel (8) is thermally isolated from the other portion of high-pressure pump (5).
EFFECT: decreased influence of fuel vapours on high-pressure pump operation on volatile fuel.
