FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines; fuel injection systems. SUBSTANCE: fuel injection system with high-pressure fuel pumps has plunger, cam drive with at least one cam, at least one valve nozzle and device with electric drive. Closing of this valve defines injection phase. At least one cam is made so that its working surface has section P, on which plunger, after first delivery stroke designed for preliminary injection, is either held in obtained position or moved back for interruption of fuel delivery at high pressure and there is shifted further on to provide delivery stroke ensuring main injection. Control of electrically-operated valve is carried out to provide holding of valve closed at beginning of delivery stroke at preliminary injection and to provided opening of valve only after end of main injection. EFFECT: simplified design and control of injection, provision of accurate maintenance of internal between preliminary and main injection. 4 cl, 2 dwg
