FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to cardiology. Selection of points, between which it is necessary to determine pulse wave speed, is realised. Form of tissue movement in selected points is determined by irradiation of electromagnetic signal, reception of signal reflected from point, coherent addition of reflected signal with radiated electromagnetic signal and reconstruction of form of tissue movement in selected points by sum signal. In case when movement amplitude in point is lower than 50 mcm, laser radiation is used. If movement amplitude in point is higher than 50 mcm, UHF-radiation is used. Time lag (Δt) is determined. Rate of pulse wave is determined on the basis of Δt and distance between selected points.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase measurement accuracy due to application of two types of radiation.
