FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: method of determination of height of rough sea and assessment of average dispersion of inclinations of large-scale, in comparison with the wavelength of acoustic radiation, disturbance by means of the acoustic system comprising a pulse acoustic radiator with one transceiving antenna with symmetric wide directional pattern is offered. The acoustic system is placed at the bottom or on a fixed underwater platform and emission is radiated vertically upwards. The method of recovery of values of height of rough sea and average dispersion of inclinations of large-scale disturbance by the form of the reflected impulse is developed for such configuration of measuring system.
EFFECT: higher accuracy.
