FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: flow meter consists of a housing with an internal cavity and projections made inside the housing on the cavity surface, with inlet and outlet holes, with a rotating sensitive element located inside its cavity. The rotating sensitive element is a rotation body with a smooth surface with an axis passing through supports of the element. Rotation of this element is performed due to forces of viscous friction of the measured liquid flowing in a laminar mode on surface of the element.
EFFECT: providing high measurement accuracy in the whole temperature range of the flow meter, possible replacement of the liquid measured by the flow meter with any other liquid without its additional calibration; possible measurement of super low flow rates of viscous liquids.
