FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the medical and pharmaceutical industry. Described method which includes the introduction of a medication into a polymer composition of a group of polysaccharides, gamma-sterilisation 6-15 kGr and introduction of sorbic acid or its water-soluble salts, or benzoic acid or its water-soluble salts, or a mixture of the said acids in a concentration of 0.05-1.00 wt % with constant mixing until a homogeneous consistency is obtained. As the polymer composition a mixture of sodium alginate and hyaluronic acid or sodium hyaluronate with the component ratio of 5:1, or a mixture of sodium alginate and pectin with the component ratio of 6:1, or swollen sodium alginate is used. It is suggested that the concentration of the medication should be selected from 0.25 to 20 wt %.
EFFECT: method eliminates the growth of micriflora in the therapeutic hydrogel, making it possible to avoid large economical loss, allows delaying γ-sterilisation and does not allow the drop of the therapeutic hydrogel viscosity in the process of γ-sterilisation, provides the required period of medication prolongation.
