FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: method for producing a heat-insulating product based on vermiculite involves production of a binding mixture by mixing potassium hydroxide, microsilica and water, which is preheated up to the temperature of 70 - 85°C, mixing of the binding mixture with foamed vermiculite, arrangement of the obtained raw mass in a mould and compaction, fixation of the mould by a tight cover, placement into a furnace pre-heated up to the temperature of 350 - 400°C and exposure at this temperature for 45 - 60 minutes, further cooling of the mould containing the product and removal from the mould at the following component ratio, wt %: potassium hydroxide 9 - 12, microsilica 20 - 28, hot water 60 - 71. Foamed vermiculite is taken in the amount of 65 - 80% of the binding mixture weight. The method provides for mixing of the binding mixture with foamed vermiculite during 2-3 minutes.
EFFECT: reduction of energy consumption at simultaneous improvement of operating characteristics of a heat-insulating product: compressive strength, density, freeze resistance and water resistance.
