FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: raw mix for heat-insulating material production includes the following wt parts: liquid glass - 1000, calcium hydroxide - dead lime containing CaO 320-350 g for 1000 g of paste - 60-200, wooden sawdust with particles less than 5mm - 50-400, water - 60-250. Method of foam-silicate heat insulating material production includes production of raw mix by mixing components, granules production and thermal treatment. Components are mixed up until composition is thickened and cured until stable gel is formed during 0.5-24 hours. The gel is granulated to the size of particles varying from 2 to 40 mm and placed into the forms for thermal treating within the temperature range 500-650°C during 1.5-2.5 hours. Then it is cooled and taken out of the forms.

EFFECT: production of raw mix at optimal content for production of foam silicate heat insulating material of high quality.
