SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication equipment and can be used in wireless communication systems. Relay centre (44) identified by a unique identifier of the relay centre retransmits communication between donor base station (42) and one or more user terminals. Donor base station (42) receives the relay centre identifier during an attachment procedure of the relay centre from relay centre (44) or another centre in the basic network (for example mobility control object (26)). Donor base station (42) can use a relay centre identifier for extraction of information on configuration for relay centre (44). Information on configuration can be used for configuration of relay centre (44) to perform control functions by radio resources and/or monitoring of operating characteristics of relay centre (44).
