SUBSTANCE: multifunctional universal headlamp comprises a housing, a light module with a solid-state semiconductor light source, a power supply unit, a protective diffuser screen which is integrated with lenses of the modular optical system of the headlamp. The solid-state semiconductor light sources are placed on the light modules with vertical orientation of the optical axes thereof relative to the surface of the light module. In order to generate distance light, part of said light sources is placed on optical axes of the lenses of the modular optical system at or near the foci thereof. In order to generate dim light, the other part is placed with offset upwards or placed up and partially to the left of the optical axes of the lenses of the modular optical system on the path of the vehicle for left-hand traffic and to the right for right-hand traffic. Lenses of the modular optical system are placed in the same or different planes. The headlamp is configured to be turned on and off and switch separate light sources based on a signal from a built-in or remote sensor for detecting change in the position of the vehicle.

EFFECT: improving the quality of illumination in order to improve traffic safety.
