FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in car headlights both as main and additional lighting. Headlight comprises housing, light source, beam conversion device in form of two lenses - collimating and collecting, between which a light flux limiter is mounted, located below the axial line of the light beam with formation of a light spot on the illuminated surface. Light source is mounted on one optical axis with collimating and collecting lenses and is installed in cavity made on axial line in top of external reflecting side of collimator lens, which external surfaces are concaved towards illuminated object. Outer surface of the collecting lens directed towards the illuminated object is made convex, formed in the form of an aspherical surface or smoothly joined to each other two surfaces with different radii. Distance between the collimating lens and the light flux limiter is equal to 1.0–2.0 of the focal length of the collecting lens.
EFFECT: technical result is increase of optical efficiency and illumination efficiency of surface with simultaneous reduction of dimensions and weight with reduction of costs for its manufacturing.
